Day 01: Arrive – Kuching
Meet & greet at Kuching International Airport and transfer to your hotel.
At 14h00 hrs depart for Kuching city tour. Visit the old White Rajah buildings, open markets, temples and mosques. Finally visit the Sarawak Museum – with its ethnologic and fauna exhibits. After the tour transfer back to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 02: Kuching – Batang Ai (Breakfast / Dinner)
Breakfast at the hotel.
08h00 hrs, depart for an overland transfer to Batang Ai. Stop at the Semenggoh Orangutan conservation center and at Serian city to visit a bustling traditional open market. Proceed overland for 2 hours and stop to a pepper farm, before lunch at the Lachau village. Free lunch, and time at disposal to buy local handicraft and some presents for the Iban people. Proceed to the Batang Ai jetty. Upon arrival at the jetty, transfer by boat to the Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort. The evening is at leisure to enjoy the facilities at the resort. Dinner & overnight.
Day 03: Batang Ai (Breakfast /Lunch / Dinner)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart for a visit to the Batang Ai Longhouse – an authentic dwelling of the local Iban tribe (which used to be head hunters in the past) – with a traditional longboat (Perahu Panjai). Explore the longhouse and learn about the lifestyle of these friendly natives. Witness a traditional dance (ngajat), a friendly cockfight demonstration followed by demonstrations on the use of a blowpipe – an ancient hunting weapon of the natives that spew poisonous darts with deadly accuracy. Lunch at the longhouse. After lunch return to the Hilton Batang Ai in the early afternoon. Free at leisure in the evening. Dinner & overnight.
Day 04: Batang Ai – Kuching (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast transfer to the jetty by boat. Return overland back to Kuching. Lunch en route (not included). Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 05: Kuching – Mulu Caves (Breakfast / Dinner)
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast transfer to the airport and fly (direct or via Miri) to Mulu. Check in at the Royal Mulu Resort and enjoy lunch. After lunch, depart for the Mulu National Park Headquarters where you will take a 3 km elevated plank-walk to the Lang Cave, the largest cave passage in the world (2161 mt long) – adjoining Deer Cave. Explore the Lang Cave with its magnificent stalactites and stalagmites, before proceeding to the Deer Cave to see “Lincoln’s Profile” where the biggest attraction are the thousands of free-tailed bats that inhabit the cave. Witness the spectacle as dusk approaches when thousands of these bats emerge from the cave in formation to forage for insects. Experience night trekking through the jungles back to Park Headquarters en route back to your resort.

Day 06: Mulu Caves (Breakfast / Dinner)
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, enjoy a boat ride to the Wind Cave. Explore the “King’s Room” before proceeding to the Clearwater Cave. Walk on plank walk ways that were built on the sides of limestone cliffs leading to the Clearwater Cave. Then, climb up the steep steps that were cut on the side of the hill to get to the entrance of Clearwater Cave. Inside the cave, see the various features and limestone formations. Return at the hotel. Later proceed to the longest Canopy walk in the world. Return to the resort. Dinner.

Day 07: Mulu Caves – Miri – Bandar Seri Begawan (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Miri. Meet and greet at Miri airport, and transfer overland to Brunei, passing by the “Oil City” Seria, with its oil fields. Arrive in Brunei and transfer to the majestic Empire Hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a city tour passing by the Sultan Bolkiah Mosque, the Regalia Museum, and the oldest and largest water village in the world, comprising hundreds of overwater houses. Back to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 08: Bandar Seri Begawan – Kota Kinabalu (Breakfast)

Day at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities, until your departure transfer to the airport. Land in Kota Kinabalu, meet and greet, and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight.
Day 09: Kota Kinabalu – Mt. Kinabalu (Breakfast / Lunch)
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast depart for a full day excursion on Mt Kinabalu. Drive past vistas of paddy fields and native villages with the sight of the majestic Mt Kinabalu. Arrive at Mesilau Nepenthes Trail at 2.000 meters above sea level, and look for the carnivorous plants (Nepenthes). Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon descend the mountain to visit the Park Botanical Garden. Check-in at Mt. Kinabalu Heritage Resort. Overnight.
Day 10: Mt. Kinabalu – Sandakan (Breakfast)

Depart for Poring Hot Spring. Visit the Kipungit waterfall or trek on a nature trail about 500m above sea level that leads to a unique canopy walk which is 157.8m long and 41 meters above the forest floor, for an exhilarating experience of walking amongst trees. Proceed to Sandakan, check in. Overnight.
Day 11: Sandakan – Kinabatangan River (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

The tour begins with a visit to the world’s largest Orangutan Rehabilitation Center, Sepilok. At the center, witness the Orangutan feeding by the rangers. Walk along the plank wood in the realms of the tropical lowland jungle. Subsequently go for a visit to the outstanding brand new Sepilok RAINFOREST DISCOVERY CENTRE, with its rich botanical garden, and attractive canopy walkway. Lunch and departure for the Kinabatangan River. The whole journey will take about 2hr15mins passing by palm oil plantations and villages. Late afternoon cruise up the Kinabatangan River to search for wildlife or notably the proboscis monkeys. Fauna of the lower Kinabatangan Reserve includes elephants, hornbills, gibbons, and many birds. Dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Kinabatangan River – Sandakan Apt/ Semporna – Mataking, Lankayan, or other islands (Breakfast)
Wake up by the calls of gibbons and hornbills. Early morning, proceed to the Ox Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning ambience of the longest river of Sabah, looking for the many birds and monkeys in search of food. Return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast transfer overland back to Sandakan airport. In alternative, direct transfer overland to Semporna (with supplement) in time for the boat to the paradisiacal island of Mataking or other nearby island.

– Advisable to bring comfortable shoes, raincoats and insect repellent.
– Animals are wild in their natural habitat. The encounters with some species cannot be guaranteed.
– Transfer from the Kinabatangan River to Semporna, to reach the Mataking/Pom Pom/Kapalai/Mabul islands, is available with a supplement.
– Transfer from the Kinabatangan River to Sandakan jetty to reach Lankayan island is available with a supplement. Since is necessary to leave at 7:00 am, the Ox Bow lake excursion will be lost, with no refund.

P.V.T – Private
A P.V.T tour stands for a Private Tour which means that from your arrival until your departure you’ll be fully escorted by your personal tour guide and driver, on your own personal air conditioned van. On a W.G.T private tour you won’t be mixed with other travelers when sightseeing and transferring except in some cases where a private basis isn’t obtainable. Upon availability a foreign speaking guide can be requested. A private package is more flexible and great for groups of friends, families, newlyweds couples etc…
